Looking for something to use on the bike this winter in Fla.to prevent rust and corrosion from salt, sand etc and came across this on a HD website.

All the feedback and reviews out there rave about it.

Any experience here and or other recommendations advice?

Thanks.

Jack.

ACF50 is the real shit!! In FL you can get it at likely any marine supply store. That stuff is great. It is used extensively by the aero space and marine community.

Wait... winter in FL? Is it Friday?

Turns out I have a can of Corrosion X, in the aviation formula and will probably take it.

Is there a tie breaker between ACF 50 and Corrosion X? They both appear to be very good from the reviews.

Corrosion X and ACF50 are used interchangeably in the aviation industry. Both are Milspec and work great ... They are the standard along with another product called LPS2 and LPS3 (Which are less common) ... All are expensive and worth it ... Any of them will suit you ...

Can't forget Boeshield. I'm guessing it's similar to the above products and used in Aerospace as well.

Boesheild is an anti corrosion product but it works by coating the surface with a brown waxy substance. It is intended for internal surface like the inside of aircraft wings etc. It is not suitable for an exposed surface as it looks like crap.

It does work well though.
