Well there is not much I can add to this story, just heard it on the local news. Troops that have been injured and can no longer serve have been asked to return their bonuses for not completing their full tour. What dipshit came up with this one?

Creative journalism strikes again. There are too many holes in the story; too much **** is missing - as presented it simply doesn't add up. I've seen too many kids get processed out with time left on the books and still get to keep whatever bonuses they were promised to buy into this.

I've never seen anyone get cut loose that close to the end of their contract without there being more to the story.

Bottom line? Take this with a grain of salt.

Gotta fall under the non-political guidelines, but IMHO this probably happened because some genius thought it was a good way to save money, but the PR damage is far worse than any $$$ they save. My bet is that they rescind this idea right quick.
