I'm getting a used Gloss Black Givi E-52 Maxia with backrest and break light kit from Craigslist for $190. :yahoo:

I have a few questions as I plan to mount this thing on my 08 FJR.

1. Is there any reason to buy the SR357 mount (approx $35 more) instead of the e228 mount?

2. What's the easiest/best way to connect the light kit? I believe it's a Givi kit, and I'm not 100% sure I'll get the wiring harness that is outside the case:(

3. Any other ideas/suggestions for installing and using this equipment?

Thanks so much for your input.

The 357 mount will be much stronger as you are replacing the FJR's stock grab handles/rack with the Givi metal part. Peeps have cracked rear subframes by overloading the rear rack portion of the FJR.

Here's the installation instructions for the E52 Maxia Brake Light Kit Installation Instructions

It sounds like you have the part of the kit that's installed in the E52 top case, but you'll also need to make sure that you have the part that goes on the Mounting Plate.
