Thanks guys. RFH your setup does look good the way it sits. I'm just curious to how the V56 would look, I also noted the 56 backrest is grey & black the V47 is solid black.

The backrest is optional and I do not have one on mine. Also my V47 is the "Tech" version. All those boxes are available in slightly different color configurations. Also, some of them are available with different painted covers.

My choice isn't listed. I've probably shown this before but I don't like any trunk mounted on the rear "deck" area so I designed and built my own mount so the Givi hovers over the passenger seat:

Nice Bergmen, that would do well when riding alone but my wife requires that area on occasion

That is a great idea. When I bought my GenIII I kept my cruiser for multirider runs. I have thought about making something like that for solo camping trips. A good solid frame for a trunk, tent, chair, and other supplies. Maybe you can redesign it on paper and pawn it of on a fabricator for short run manufacturing. Depending on price I could certainly be interested. Come August me and the pops/brothers are touring into Canada around the great lakes. That would be perfect for such events.

I've been working off and on (more off than on) on a much simpler design with far fewer parts. This one would be hinged so easy access to the rear seat would be possible (to gain acces to anything under the seat). This would also make the rear seat available for use while on a trip for short durations (need to haul someone into town or something while on the road).

Maybe I should get back on this.

Hi,
In deed, the backrest is grey and black, has you can see on my bike. it's a V55 MAXIA 3.

moreover, in the V55/V56 you can add additional stop light

I put without any problem 2 GT Air with scala into.

I installed the Admore for the E55. It's bright. I like it. I just need twisted throttle to hurry up and ship my SR357 so I can start using it.

Don't you hate it when you jump ahead and install the wiring, test it for functionality and have no bracket to mount it?

In fact, I had the topcase and suport before light. I add it a long time after (maybe one year), but I hunderstand you're impatiencece...

I have just change all electric cable by more strongers cable. I hade to many electric default with original givi cable. And this on many bike...

Where have you keep electric signal? at the connector on the left of the bike, or directly near the break light? With a GEN III, and it's multiplex wire, if they are some electric default, you will have ABS light on you're display. And I don't remember THE ECU code, but it's not evident to hunderstand... *

Good ride

I cut into the harness under the passenger seat. It's nice and clean. If you don't look too hard you won't see it.

But... I do need to correct myself. Apparently I am waiting on Twisted Throttle to send me the shipping email for the SR357 that was sitting on my porch when I got home today.

Ordered it Friday night... No shipping email... Installed Wednesday night. No complaints at all.
