Been there. Done that. Haha!<- Puts Mad German on the **** list.
Same part number, as past years for the factory mounting bracket...Joe, do we know for sure the '16s have the same tails? Maybe I missed it but between Yamaha offering their own racks and bigger boxes along with the different tail-lights I'd be afraid of laying out $$ for stuff without definitely knowing they didn't tweak anything.
It'll take all of about 15 minutes. There was a wet, tattered, torn, beat up RevZilla box at my (wife's) house when my son got home from school today. The boy, bless his little heart, drug it into the house for me. He knew I was working a 16 hour day today. I am happy to report that everything seems to be okay with the SR357. Now I just have to find time to install it.
If you don't count going to the hardware store for longer bolts and washers for spacers......It'll take all of about 15 minutes. There was a wet, tattered, torn, beat up RevZilla box at my (wife's) house when my son got home from school today. A small few of us posted about it at the time: I did buy it new but that was back when there seemed to be a little slippage with the welding fixture. The angle between the bolt down part under the seat and the rest going aft wasn't (isn't) right. The angle was so severe that I had to ream out holes to get all of the bolts to start loosely before tightening any of them and when I tightened the front ones the rear ones engaged only about 2 turns. I needed nearly 3/8" of spacer aft, not simply an extra washer. So for me and a few others add about an hr and elevated blood pressure to the job.If you bought it new all the hardware comes with it. OTOH I have really good upward support on the bike's tail section.
Nah, yours is normal.
