I have a Givi V46 top box on my FJR, as many do. And like many the 4 crappy brake lights have burned out again. I'm going to he LED conversion like someone has created in the past. when I was looking at it I wondered if the much larger corner reflector areas could be lit up somehow. Does anyone have an ideas of how LEDs could be used?

Thanks, Dave

Never heard of anybody doing something like that, but I added a brakeflasher to mine, just under the mounting base, to augment the awesome Fred H. LED array.

This is a task for Super 72! :assassin:

Pinging Wild72.

Dave,

I had the same thoughts as yourself a little while back, and did just that exact modification.

Full details can be found here.

I have yet to get around to taking some night-time pics, but it works like a charm, and was very inexpensive.

Edit: Seems the above link has a problem, here is a different one, but still with the same content.

A sugesstion for you guys before you add the led lights, cover the plastic part with 3M Solas reflective tape, it really lights up, mine reflected 1 block away with a flashlight looks like a brake light, I did this with my E52 and added the Admore lighting kit along with a Kissan brake flasher

I've got the 52 and simply used the little flexible LED strips that were on sale at Advance Auto. Fit with no problem under the red plastic corner pieces, but I did have to drill a small hole for each to feed the wire into the box and down to a connector.
