Just sucks that Bikes get a bad rap so easily. Or is it that cagers have been driving to poorly for so long that it's just expected and common place?

Didn't they (or somewhere up there) try out the whole "no speed limit durring certain hours" thing? Granted, 150mph on smallish roads is still stupid (never know when bullwinkle will take a snooze on the road) but I can get passed that. The wheelies around other cars/trucks and such, thats just plain asking for it.

Minor hijack: Actually, it was the indiscreet Washingtonians and Californians that brought an awful lot of pressure to bear, but it was a native that pushed it all over the brink, arguing in court that 130 "was reasonable and prudent" (which was the legal speed limit) and a judge throwing out the case because the law was ridiculously vague. This caused the legislature to act. But it was fun while it lasted. We used to drive 500 miles in six hours, no sweat.

And now, back to our regular programming...

Invalidating a law because "reasonable and prudent" is too vague is EXTREMELY inconsistent. Most states already have such language on the books such that you can get a "speeding" ticket virtually anytime a cop decides you were driving "too fast for conditions".

That is exactly the same thing! just a rationalization for more nanny state politoco's.
