Glove box lid jammed

Sorry if this has been asked, but are there any retail places that sell a magnet or magnets with adhesives what would keep it shut?

Just to follow up, I found the red wire in the contacts of the ignition switch to have a bad solder joint.

This killed all power past the battery main fuse. I had to drill out the security bolts and remove the contact block and resolder the wire.

While the bike was down, I changed the spark plugs and removed the air tubing to the head too.

I was going to sync the throttle bodies but ran out of time.

Any hardware store, look for cabinet door latches. I used RTV to stick them on my glove box. Before you glue anything on, take a look at where the parts will need to be attached, it isn't quite what you would expect.

I'm so confused.

I read all three pages of this thread (yes, I noticed it started nearly a year ago) and now I don't know whether to be glad that Lucille doesn't have a glove box that can break, or sad that she's "less" than most of her siblings.

Oh, I just remembered that the Wingabago has TWO glove boxes -- and a better horn.

I'd still rather ride Lucille.

Mine opens pretty poorly for a brand new bike... I'm quite sure mine is missing a screw...this may cause a misalignment of the latch...

The parts diagram looks like it shows one...

Do you guys have a screw in yours in that hole about an inch to the right of the rear hinge?

Yes my gen 1 has a screw there ,but I removed the solenoid so it can open with the key out now

Yep, missing a screw there, but that won't cause any "misalignment" between the lid and the box.

It's a black Philips screw.

Does make you wonder what else is missing that might cause miss-alignment and jamming.

If you ae missing a screw in the glove box, I suggest you immediately check the security screws in the side bag lock sets. Likely the dealer never bothered to lock-tite them.
