The previous owner of my 07 FJR took out the piece that the solenoid pushes against to keep the glove box locked while the bike is off. I'd like to reinstall that but can't seem to find it on the parts fiche. Anyone got one they are willing to get rid of cheap? PM me and let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Not a lot of point to reinstalling the solenoid.

One good shove with your thumb and it's open anyways, the cheapo plastic operating rod just bends and anyone can access it in seconds.

I wouldn't be keeping anything too valuable in it.

It's mainly my garage door opener and a set of house keys. I'm just trying to deter the casual gawker that likes to press buttons.

Which piece? The white plastic plunger or the black plastic rocker? I'll check to see if I still have that stuff from my mini-project.
I think both. I have a black plastic bracket that has two bolts through it. Those bolts also go through a metal bracket that holds on the solenoid. It looks like the plastic bracket is missing a piece that the solenoid pushes against. And no, I don't see any white pieces.

Believe me, you might reconsider. Mine is stock, but I just hook my fingertips under the lid and pull. Snaps open easily and closes easily with a snap every time. I ignore the key on in neutral, press button thing.

Just sayin'

Course YMMV
