Thanks go to Weekend Rider and Ric in Sac for allowing me to abuse their bikes and bodies on our little ride Sunday. Christy and I met Weekend Rider at Mels in Jackson for breakfast, with Rick in Sac showing up a little later for his energy drink. Temps were perfect in the morning as we rode south.

We stopped in Murphy's to strip off some layers, talk about the animals we saw (or didn't see) and hydrate. The 1000RR wasn't riding with us, just as well, probably would have slowed us down.

Then north again back up to the hills

Christy must have felt like taking pictures was more work than it was worth because that's it. I guess I'm going to have to either learn to ride and take pictures or set up a video camera?

A late lunch at Incahoots BBQ in Plymouth was enjoyed with Weekend Rider teasing our busy/irritable waitress to the point I thought I saw claws and fangs! Hey Bob, next time poke fun AFTER we get our food OK. ;)

All in all it was a great day with some bumpy twisty roads and lots of Fall colors.

It looks like a great ride. I just love back country roads like that.

Thanks U.K. and Christy that was a perfect way to spend a sunday on your bike riding and never been on those goat trail roads ever. That is some primo riding like those trails. If they only would have been single track trails then I would have found out how the fjr does as a dual sport.

One thing for sure U.K. did state that the deer are motorcycle trained and do not chase or try to run into you.

We came aroud a corner and there was a fawn standing next to the road and never move as all three of us went by thanks was a relief....... no wrecks or injuries to the ridersand passengers

These are some fine back roads to travel they go up, down, sharp l./r. dodge a chuck hole new gravel, narrow, one lane bridges, just a lot of fun and you get to see all the antiques that peop;e have collected in their yards over the years.

After the ride you will need a new wilburs shock front and rear and U.K. can get you a great deal... (ha ha ha ) I think he has stock in the company.

It was great riding with all of you ric, uk, christy see you on the next one in the future.

:D weekend rider :D

Lots of great back roads in the Wine Country. O'vale should know some of them as should WeekendRider. PM me if you need some ideas.
