A friend of mine does sand drags on a 2-stroke Banshee-motored quad at a local 200-foot strip. They run stuff from bone stock up to modified 4WD pickups. It's fun to watch, but I can't believe they don't have any better gear requirements!

No bikes, just quads and trucks, and no top fuel.

I once drove a paddle tired Jeep Honcho sand drag truck through the top of 1st gear. Truck had a full race, nitrous injected 360 in it (read ticking time bomb) with a solid rear end (no diff). Prior to that I used to bracket race out at Cayuga On for a few years. I've been in some seriously fast cars (11sec / 10 sec).

Nothing NOTHING l've ever been in launched as hard as that truck.
