I would say that it is all dependant on whether I can buy back my totaled FJR as savage.

If I can and do, I would put out a notice on the forum that I'm interested on buying a FJR on the West Coast.

My totaled FJR is in Arizona, so a low mileage 04 with ABS, between me (Vancouver, BC) and there could be a option.

I know someone one the forum could find one, out there somewhere.

Mark, great news bud. Was it the fact you had insured for $22K or what? Glad it worked out the way it should have.

Now what do you think of the Concours 14?? I know you're a Y man, and that is cool, but what did you think of the new Connie?.

If you're not going there, I'd be looking for a pristine '04 abs. I will keep my eyes open for you.

Merry Christmas Mark. Take care.

There have been a few used on the left coast lately....'04s and '05s. And are you "set" on an '04? I'd hate for your quest to lead to a spike in the market price for '04s.

Of course, we're all having fun at your expense (pun intended) until you hear the buy-back cost for your FJR. I hope it's low if you are leaning toward repairing or harvesting. After my incident, the buy-back was ridiculously high, but after reading other's experiences it sounds like the market has become more realistic since then.

The price would have to be right.

It's a hell of a long trip for me to get there.

My thought is to harvest.

Althought, I can buy Yamaha parts at dealer cost, so a detailed inspection would be in order.

I know that FJR inside and out.

I've had the plastic off so many times, I've lost count.

I own a box of fastners, bits and pieces.

The longest farkle to install was the HID lights, with the ballast's installed in the nose cone.

SS brake lines were a bit picky.

The Sola-alarm, also took some time.

I'm a detail guy, do it once, do it right!
