Yep...I don't care much either. I'm goin'!!!Since I will be camping, if there would be no precipitation while I am setting up or breaking camp...that would be most appreciated.
Mark if worse comes to worse, you can camp out with Joey and I. I promise it wont rain on our campsite

Thanx for the offer!

I am from the "glass 1/2 full" group of this thread...it ain't gonna rain...much. Just a short spring shower, maybe two. Ya know...April showers brings May flowers... or something like that.

Ride safe and c'ya there,

Mark

For any of you that have never traveled the mountains, or it may have just been a while...don't forget that after a good rain, any road that is below grade of the hill can have rock/mud/gravel/leaves wash out in it - especially in the corners. While in the elevated twisties, be on the lookout if it does rain on ya (both during and after).

Good reminder...I typically do not encounter that through all of the twisties I encounter here in NE....mostly because they are all on-ramps :p

Good point Glory!!!!

Hey Twistied,

Where in the Midwest are you from? I lived in flat IL for 13 +years and know exactly what you're saying. Now I'm living in GA and that's a different story when talking corners. :yahoo:

Hey GR, seriously and I'll be insulted if ya don't take up me or somebody on this...if the weather sucks or is predicted to suck on any or all nights, you bring ya ground pad and sleep bag and knock on my door; anytime, don't care.

Pull up a floor or bathtub or whatever outta the weather and stay with us. But until I knows ya some, ya can't use the toilet seat... :glare:

You guys are killing me, I'd love to participate but I won't get possession of the '04 FJR I'm buying for another 2 weeks.

Have a good time and be safe!

I was thinking the drizzle lasted well into the afternoon....fog too :angry2:
I don't remember the entire day. I remember the morning drizzle, it was clear when the group I was with stopped for lunch and I thought it was clear the rest of the riding time....however, that was the day of your get-off, and I know the roads were slick. :(
I remember rain in the morning, somewhat clearing late and then getting blasted with massive rain on the way back to the hotel. Next day was perfect.

Sorry I can't make it this year but I was able to get to Arkansas last weekend with a group and had a really good ride on 16, 21, 123, 7, 74, ect. We camped at Devils Den state park.

Have fun.

Brief Hijack: Was that the motocampers group? If so, and to keep from further hijacking, could you shoot me a pm with your thoughts on the group and the ride??? I would like to ride some with these guys in the future. Couldn't make this trip as that would have been three 4 day weekends in a row traveling to AR. My better half says that is to much...I kinda sorta agree. Thanx!

People, this is Arkansas we are talking about here, the weather changes by the minute.

I think we'll have a great rally and excellent rides.

How's that for some fricken optimism!
