I just got to ask. Is this the first you've heard of this song? Or is it just the novelty of seeing it on video?

How can you get to Alice's Restaurant without a pickle?

In '67 Alice's Restaurant Massacre came out, followed by the Motorcycle Song. At that time there was a lot of 'attitude adjustment' going on via several botanical and laboratory products which could make someone kicking a bottle down the street sound like sweet music ;)

Young whippersnappers, study your history!

Man...I've heard about this song, but never heard it for real. I'm not sure I was missing that much, but knowing why the previous generation did so many drugs is nice.

just rode through a hellacious snow storm in the Berkshires this morning near Stockbridge, MA where Alice's restaurant is.

They was some goooood sh*t floatin' around in the 60's.

What's behind the sunglasses Arlo?

I remember some of the sixtys in Socal. Good drugs, willing young ladies and no HIV. It was a great time to be on the planet :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: .

classic, thanks for vid.
Yeah, I love that old Arlo Guthrie stuff. Classic, indeed. And it explains why my front fender looks like this:
