My Indian name is "Pants On Fire"
I recently got a route for my GPS from Keithaba. The route is his planned roads for the "Kentucky & part of VA" ride.
Since it wasn't created in the route version that I need I asked my bud, Jeff Ashe to save the maps down to version 1 gdb using a freeware program called GPSBabel. (we've done this before w/ routes that Jeff created & it worked like a charm) My unit (Garmin 276C) apparently uses V1 gdb files.
I loaded the V1 file onto my unit. When I attempt to navigate the route, I receive the message "Truncated Route" & then the message "Route Error". I know what truncated means but I can't quite figure out what has happened. THis is a message that I've never seen. Has anyone experienced this message before & has a suggestion of how I might fix the problem?
TIA, Heidi
PS, I've already visited Garmin's website to find the answer. No luck. Also tried recalculating the V1 route in my mapping software, retried it with my unit with the same results.
