Hello all,

I am trying to track down a decent GPS mount for my 08 FJR. Looking for decent quality price isn't a huge issue.

The real issue is were do you want to mount it

I want to mount it on the center of the steering head. It looks like they make some that go in place of the large cover nut . But can't find anything specific for an FJR.

You are looking for a Techmount or a stem nut with a ram ball. Try searching for those and you'll find what you need.

I've been looking, too. Couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted and where it needed to be mounted. RAm has a EZ Strap system mount that uses your garmin cradle and is somewhat adjustable where you put it and how to configure the angle. I got the 3" stem for more variation on where, angles, etc. I may end up scrapping it for a different set up but at about $16 with shipping it was the right price to try out.

Note that the GPS device mount in that thread was for a 765 . . . RAM's web site has a neat wizard for putting your list of bits together, though the only 'specialised' item is the one you snap the GPS in to - and some GPSsa, line the 276 come with excellent mounts in the box.
