Similarly, the current Garmin MapSource software exports routes and waypoints to Google Earth and you can save them from there as a KMZ file. Sometimes seeing the actual stuff your route goes through can make a difference in your planning, even if the Google Earth images are years old sometimes.

You can do pretty much the same thing with Google Earth, no?
