Not as powerful as Streets and Trips but much better in other areas.. from MS. It shows 'Google Earth' level of detail with auto mapping from departure to arrival points. Kind of interesting. It also has real time traffic congestion areas and road closures.

Found out this morning that my next Thursday ride to Bill Mayer saddles has to be rerouted due to hiway 33 closure.. Streets and Trips did not catch it..

Clicky

I will have to check it out.

I did get Goggle Earth. I tyed in addresses but I couldn't get any sat pictures. Is there a trick to it?

Addresses for google earth or local live?

If local live, click the 'Directions' tab at the top then in the little box at upper left corner of the map, select Aerial.

Interesting... the arial and birds eye views are from different times, as evidenced by a shopping center near me that isn't there in the arial, and is in the birds eye.

Thanks for the link!

d, go a little more east on 166 then take Cerro Noroeste - Mil Portero to Lockwood Valley back to 33. That's a hoot of a route! I think I know the area that closed 33. They've been working there for quite a while and the closure is most likely temporary.

Thanks for sharing!

I do like the map version better than the google maps. I'd love it if one of these times they would let you get a route, then simply click on alternate roads and have it automatically include them in the route.

I think I'll send them emails asking for that.
