Guys i know this has prob. been asked before but couldnt find it so i thought i would ask every 1 what they have replaced your grips with , i been looking at takie grips what u guys think an sorry if this is stupid thanks in advance

I did the BMW grips, back in June of '05 when I got the bike. Also did risers & bar ends too. I'm happy with 'em.

Lots of people here seem to like the 'Grip Puppies' because they substantially thicken the grip area, meaning you don't have to close your hand as tight as with some other grips.

Me ? I wear deerskin gloves, pretty soft & grippy, so the glove/BMW grip combo works OK for me. YMMV, no dealer connections, etc

BMW Grip HowTo

I just put the grip puppies on this past weekend.

So far I like the change

+1 on the BMW grips. Might not cut down the vibs as much as the puppies, but they are by far the best set of grips (I've tried over a dozen) I've found.

I haven't tried the BMW grips but after the MD2020 and some numbness in my hands I put on a set of Grip Puppies.

I like them... They allegedly soak up the water in the rain but I haven't fully tested that yet...

I've searched around and only find large and small size grip puppies. Where can I get the medium or does it matter to use the large or small?

+1 on Grip Puppies. Phenominal difference, especially as I have large hands; the stock grips were like holding a thick pencil.

Haven't done bar ends yet, but they're coming.

+1 on the Grip Puppies. Definately helps on the vibro massage on the hands. I've got bar ends too and that takes a little away also. Did notice that, at least in my case, I had to watch my speed, seemed to make me twist the throttle even easier and more.

I use the Sunline "grand touring' grips I found at my local shop.

It took a few rides to get used to them but now I like them alot. They do a fantastic job dampening vibes.

Here

Bought some grip puppies but gave 'em to my son.

I like the BMW grips - they have a contour that fits my hands perfectly...

tried the grips and felt like i lost feel. picked up fingerless padded gloves. perfect.
