They have identified her. She was a 40 year old resident of Toronto.

I think the rider will be found out if they had any personal connections, common friends, relationship, etc.

An alternate view was posed above, and it could prevail. We live in a time of Liars. As Wanda Sykes used to say, "You've got to stick with your lie." Sad commentary on our times, and reinforcement to the whole idea of running off and leaving your passenger to the traffic.

Time will tell. It took until yesterday to get the identification, or at least to report the identification.

 
A terrible crime, but I give cudos to the SUN for quoting responsible riders as horrified at the incident. The report is not sensationalized. I doubt many news outlets in the US would color the report in as fair a way for motorcycling.

 
Well, he's certainly old enough to have known better. Glad it wasn't it a teen that would've been spending his formative years in the slammer.
