Tomorrow's forecast calls for cold (around 0°F), cloud in the AM and heavy snow starting around noon. Windchill below -30°F overnight with blowing snow.

If the little bugger sees his shadow on Monday, it is supposed to mean six more weeks of winter (probably a GOOD thing around here). No shadow tomorrow so winter will probably stay on into May. I'm getting sick of this ****!

Locally it would take an excavator to dig the rodent out and it would probably die of exposure before it could look for its shadow. With the addition of tomorrow's 10-18" snow fall it will take more than 6 weeks just to melt off our current snow pack. Groundhog day here will pretty much be a non issue, unlike the missing psi or two which is the harbinger of the end of the world.

I live about 70 miles south of Punxsutawny and it is supposed to snow hard through the night into mid-day tomorrow. I don't think there will be a shadow. I'll take offers to put a hit on the hog.

Dunno, snow didn't work out too well for Sonny

I have a couple skiing trips planned for February, so I'm OK with more snow in the northeast. But come March, I expect to be back on two wheels. Regardless of the little rodent's predictions.

Looks like there may be a hazy shadow this morning with a windchill in the -30's. If it meant (only) six more weeks of winter, I could live with that. Target for first-ride-of-the-year is usually St. Patrick's Day (although not likely very far). I didn't make it last year because of protracted winter nastiness.

Blizzard forecast to begin by late afternoon...

Here's hoping he sees his shadow...

What am I saying?! If I see 6 more weeks of this weather I am gonna have to buy some more sunscreen!...and some extra t-shirts...and maybe a wind breaker if the wind kicks up!

Yeah well...I'm sure we all wished we had your problems.

Here in the American Southwest if Arnie the Armadillo comes out of his burrow and drinks a beer, we get six more weeks of Winter: Meaning 70F degree days!

If Arnold Armadillo comes out of his burrow and drinks two beers, then Spring is right around the corner and we can count on 80F degree days! Drink up Arnie!

My daughter Alison (on the left) was there with her friend Lacy. There was a shadow somehow, but I think it was TV lights.

Might not be a bad idea to keep him in a display case...Phil was biting his handlers this morning.

I've seen A.J. get surly too.

56 for a high today with full sun and light wind. It's also my dog Riley's birthday. I may take him out later to see if he can find a ground hog. 5 yrs old today.
