Went out to go ride work yesterday morning and found the trunk flopping around a bit. Pulled the trunk and mounting plate and found the PCA rack recessed mounting flanges had fractured completely on two of the bolts. Got this rack barely used from another forum member and have had it installed continuously for almost four years. I know the early versions of the sport racks had different failure issues, and they recently redesigned the rack, again. Haven't heard of this type of failure before. The rack itself is fairly thick and hefty, but these mount flanges look to be at least half the thickness of the rack.
I picked up some longer bolts and washers as a fix.
Just an FYI.
