Handguard fit?

If you’re looking to not having to mess with the bar ends like me, due to having a throttle lock. I saw someone else used a set made for a newer bmw k1600 with a little bit of fabrication. I think I’m going to try this out also just for some wind deflection during colder months.
 
Not sure what you have there, but on my 2008, I drilled and tapped the lever pivot bolt head for a small machine screw. It does not need to be much of a screw, 1/8" (3mm) or so. Mounted the front with a washer and machine screw on each hand I cut the rear "C" end a bit deeper in the center of the "C" to make a good fit there on the bar end weights. Easy work with a utility knife, cutting a little at a time.

I really like the wind protection in cold weather, and on my black FJR, these black hand defenders appear to be stock.
