handlebar adjustment on 09

Hello All,

The handlebars on my 09 are adjustable but the manual says to take it to a dealer to have it done. Why? Is it something that can be down reasonably easy? Does anyone know how they come from the factory, which postition?

The dealer set my 2009 FJR in the middle position. I adjusted mine to the rear most position. Nothing to it. You remove the covers then there are

1 bolt and 1 nut on each side. Remove both bolts and both nuts then lift and adjust to new position.

Bolt = 17 ft-lb

Nut = 47 ft-lb
