Yes, this is belated, as Professor ionbeam's birthday was this past Saturday. But we were all sworn to secrecy :secret: before Saturday's breakfast RTEaRaEaR. so that we could surprise/embarrass him by singing Happy Birthday to him in the restaurant that morning. After that mission was accomplished, I did mention it (buried in the above linked to thread) but I know that through the years, so many of us here on the forum have benefitted from Alan's sage technical advice and wisdom. I knew that you'd all want to get in on wishing him well for another solar orbit.
