Only those that earn the uniform can know the price of freedom.

Thank you to all that serve in All brances of the service and God Bless the families left to wonder and worry.

Not as lean. Not as mean. Still a Marine.

UUU-RAH. Yes indeed. Semper-Fi and HAPPY BIRTHDAY fellow Marines. Got online here this morning with the purpose of posting that. Good to see somebody else remembered first.

First of foot and right of line.

The toy they gave me to play with.

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering

if they've made a difference. The Marines don't

have that problem."

(Often credited to Ronald Reagan, but the actual author is unknown.)

Happy Birthday fellow Belleau Woodsmen!

3RD Bn, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division

That's right ScooterG, it's a Jarhead day of celebration! So crack open a cold one and raise your glass to The Few, The Proud, and those beyond Hope. ;)

Ok, GunMD. Tonight I crack open a cold one and toast to the U.S. Marine Corps. A tough and brave lot you all are.

Semper Fi.

Tomorrow however, like any good ex-Navy gator freighter jockey, I am back to insulting you at every opportunity, which of course is easy enough to do. :D

RAD:

A turrent head eh? That explains everything!!!

SkooterG:

What did you fly?

Seriously though...Thanks to one and all and may the rest of you're lives be strewn with all the good things in life.

UNITED STATES MARINE CORP HYMN

From the Halls of Montezuma

To the shores of Tripoli

We fight our country's battles

In the air, on land and sea

First to fight for right and freedom

And to keep our honor clean;

We are proud to claim the title

Of United States Marines.

Our flag's unfurled to every breeze

From dawn to setting sun;

We have fought in every clime and place

Where we could take a gun.

In the snow of far-off Northern lands

And in sunny tropic scenes;

You will find us always on the job --

The United States Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps

Which we are proud to serve;

In many a strife we've fought for life

And never lost our nerve.

If the Army and the Navy

Ever look on Heaven's scenes,

They will find the streets are guarded

By United States Marines.

Happy Birthday...May God hold you in His arms and protect you.

Ever read the book,"Flags of Our Fathers" by Bradley, son of one of the Marine flag raisers on Iwo Jima? GREAT BOOK. Oughtta be required in all high schools.
