Against my fatherly advice, my adult son bought a 50th anniversary Sportster (2007 model). He loves it, and I took it for a short spin once. Sounds cool and looks cool. But I strongly prefer reliability, hi-tech, superb handling and serious performance. I agree that some entrance ramps are just made for wacking back on the throttle. My primary love is long distance trips and this is the very best bike possible for that sort of passion. In the one year that he's owned his bike, he's spent about half of its purchase price on repairs. What a shame. He certainly can't afford it.
