June 11th Sunday I believe we leave, returning the following Saturday or Sunday. Good group of guys (6 or so), not a bunch of yahoos. We got a house rental down there that sleeps 10 so there is still some room.....Also if anyone has any "don't miss it while you are there" stuff, let me know....I will try to post some pics when we get back....Thanks! Look up Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway if you come down that far. If you do you will also be near Mt. Airy NC which is the town also known as Mayberry from Andy Griffith days. Look up Snappy Lunch in Mt. Airy for lunch. They are famous for their pork chop sammich.

At the top of Fancy Gap mountain just north of Mt. Airy is Galax VA. Good hotels and home of the Smoke On The Mountain barbecue competition and the iconic Galax Smokehouse.

Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley, NC https://wheelsthroughtime.com/ Just a few miles off the Parkway at Soco Gap. Amazing collection of antique motorcycles; if you can get Dale or Matt to give you a guided tour, they will fire them up for you right there in the museum. Well worth the modest charge, IMHO, if you're into vintage machines.

I've always wanted to ride the Skyline and visit the multiple Civil War sites nearby. Some of the other posters mentioned Mt. Airy, it's worthwhile if you are an Andy Griffith fan but keep in mind the museum doesn't open until mid-morning. I forget the name of the barber shop there but it is really close to Floyd's from the show.

Thanks Guys! Wheels through time has been mentioned,but not sure if we are going to make it that far down,not everyone in the group has an FJR

...We have 4 nights in the house from Sunday on but might find a hotel for a few more.
