But it does look like a brand new 2009 YZF-R1..... very tragic... :(

 
I too, hate reading things like this.

But, it makes me [SIZE=12pt]think[/SIZE] when I get on the bike and ride.

Maybe some good comes out of it when the rest of us take a good look at our riding...

Yeah, we don't know yet how much experience he may or may not have had. At only 21 years old, it couldn't be much.

This corner is a mile from my house, I know it well.

We do know the bike still had paper plates, so it was new to him. Way to tragic to think about for everyone connected.

 
New bike, new rider?
Yes, I feel for the riders' family, as well as the truck driver. Tragic.
Bad situation all around. The rider and his family and friends, the driver and the emergency personnel who attended the scene. I'm sure no fatality is a good one, but such a young guy must hit a little harder.
