Well, It looks like I will be heading out to Texas Thursday night after work. My wife will be attempting to do a SS1000 to Houston, TX. (Passenger) It looks to be about 1,150 miles or so.

For me this will probably be my most challenging ride. I will have ear

plugs in and just keep pointing to the fuel gauge for the repeated requests for stopping.

After the trip to Houston, I will be headed to Paris(TX) solo, for the RAT

(Ride Around Texas) It looks like 35+ riders. The RAT Insanity Gold requires a

perimeter ride with multiple check points in 70 hours. There may be a multiple

riders SPOT, I don't know.

Here are my SPOT rides:

Wife's SS1000 https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=213a4cab367631066

The whole trip https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=213b4cab372970806

RAT https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=213c4cab38b072f1a

Any witnesses in Houston available?

Safe rides and good luck!!!. dont succumb to peer pressure, ride your own pace and remember it is just a ride. Have a great time

Any details on the RAT? I've tried to find it before but only came up with reports from a couple of years ago.

I'm in Conroe and can witness whatever you need

Hmmm....1,000th post!

Congrats on the 1K post! I had to look Conroe up on the map:

Thank you for offering to witness! If you don't mind, I'll take you up on it.

Looks like if I jog north of Houston I could save you some miles and hassle of city traffic.

Would a meet up in SPRING be alright? The bad thing is... with the wife's 1st trip of over

250 miles... Our arrival time could be "Uncertain" I will be running spot, so that might help

you note our pace. If we don't make it by 9pm central we wont need a witness. I am guessing...

anywhere from 5-9pm Friday for an ETA. PM me if interested.

Good riding, I am in the area as well, work a few miles from spring around the Beltway 8/Sam Houston toll road & I45.

So, I will gladly serve as a alternate witness if needed: should be free around that time.

Should be a great ride, weather is almost perfect for Texas.

Wow! Thanks! We really do need 2 witnesses... And a chance to meet up with 2 forum members. If you are able to

do this, I would be most thankful! This sure beats hunting down a police or fire station. PM SENT

Checking in on the spot..Looks like the bike is heading back toward Florida?

Not familiar with using "spot", so maybe it is supposed to look that way. 67-70

clumped together. Hope everything is okay.

Okay, my bad. That Spotwalla is so cool. Will have to use that so wifey can track me on my next run.

Zoomed in and looks like some good Waffle House Breakfast.

Looks like you made it--you both made it. Congrats again.

Very nice meeting with you both; If you pass through again, ring me up...lunch/dinner on me.
