Guys,

Thanks a bunch for answering all my questions this last past week regarding camping and hooking up a GPS. Looks like we are a go for take off after lunch 12:00pm PST. I did the first service yesterday with 658 miles in just a week and one day. Did a mock up pack with the tent and sleeping bags last night. Seems like everything will fit and be snug. The wife is excited also. We will see after mile 100. We are planning to take a bunch of pictures of the ride so i will try to do a ride report when we get back.

Also if anyone is going to be in the area let me know so i can keep a eye out. I will be on a 2008 with a premier sport rack and back rest. Look for the blue tinted headlights (PIAA) Have a good one this weekend everyone.

Good luck! Have fun. This weekend is supposed to be in the mid 90's in the Wilamette and Umpqua Valleys. Hitting a hundred by Monday. Where are you going? East of the Cascades or West?

Wallowa Lake is just out side of La Grande, Oregon or better yet Joesph, Oregon. Its going to be short ride for me (3 1/2 hrs) but my wifes first long ride. Got to break her in slowly. The wife that is.

That's a beautiful area with some very nice riding. Fun roads down into Hells Canyon.

I usually go to Joseph every summer for the Bronze, Blues, and Brews Festival, but it's cancelled this year.

If you enjoy microbrews, check out Terminal Gravity Brewing in Enterprise.

mmmmm!! Breakfast Porter mmmmm!!

I know i love the area. I grew up in Pendleton, Oregon so a trip to Wallowa was nothing. I think there is a rodeo going on this weekend so i hope the roads won't be to packed with horse trailers and big ol' trucks. I LOVE microbrews. I will have to stop! hope they have a good IPA.

It's the annual Chief Joseph Days this weekend, sorry, the roads will be packed. Watch out for drunks.

And +1 on the Terminal Gravity.

We'll be staying in Joseph the Wednesday night before WFO (mom lives there :D ).
