Heated grips power plugs?

Please help with a new owner question.

Sitting on the bike and looking down between the fairing on the left side and the triple clamps, above the horn are two plugs. One white female "oval shape" and one blue "square" male plug., coming out of the wiring harness. This is on a 08 Raven.

I am going to make a wild guess and say they are the heated grips power plugs. I'm I correct? Sorry for no picture.

those are where the factory controller plugs into-then there are 2 more plugs buried up in back of the turn signal that each grip plugs into

those are where the factory controller plugs into-then there are 2 more plugs buried up in back of the turn signal that each grip plugs into

Blue connector = power for the heated grips

Gray connector = Right grip (power comes into this grip via the tan wire)

Black connector = Left grip (red/black wire; regulated ground supplied from the controller [this connection must only come from a heat controller]

(the tan/blue wire, common to both the Black and Gray connectors jumps the two grips together)

In previous years the following two heat controller connectors were both blue, with the male/female ends reversed to ensure correct connections.

Connector 1 had Green/White (ECU connection) & Black (ground for the whole heated grip system)

Connector 2 had Green/Blue (power from the headlight relay) & Red/Black (from Left grip warmer, to the heat controller; the heat controller will ground this wire [via pulse width modulation] to complete the grip circuit.

I think I will tape them over to help keep the connectors from getting corroded for later use somewhere down the line.
