I have a heated jacket liner, and will be adding heated gloves. I have to replace my controller, so I need some advice from those who use both together. If I run them off the same controller, will my hands get too hot, my liner get too cold, or ? Should i buy a dual controller, which allows two different temp controls, so that hands, and torso are separately controlled?

i prefer dual.

I find I am adjusting each (vest/gloves) differently as the day goes on.

I've never had a single controller so I can't really speak to how well they work for both heated items, but I find that I sometimes adjust one of the dual controllers to a much different setting than the other. I'm glad to have the option to set them at different levels.

Dual controller all the way.

For example, when it's in the 30 degree temp range, I usually need my gloves on max but only need my jacket liner around 50%.

I have a dual controler.

One channel is the jacket linner, the other is the pants and gloves. I find I turn the pants and gloves up more than the linner.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm definitely getting a dual controller.

Better check to see if your jacket is wired to allow the dual controller to control the gloves on a separate circuit. :dribble: Some are not wired that way and just because you have a dual controller, you will not be able to control the gloves separate from the jacket. :angry2:

My liner is this way and I have never had a prob with the liner too cold and the gloves too hot. I run a single controller (gerbings)

I don't know. I like the option of running my gloves a bit warmer than my jacket. There are times I've only turned on the gloves to 50% and had the liner turned off, as the windbreaker function was plenty for my upper body. I hate cold fingers!

I dont use any controller at all with my G3 gerbings....and havent noticed any undue heat or discomfort. hmmm.

On days when it is between 30-45 they feel perfect. Below 30, I cant tell they are on except for my hands just dont get cold.

I agree 100%. I had to send my Gerbings jacket liner back to Gerbings and have them rewire it so I could control my gloves with a different controller. :angry2: It works great. I just bought a new jacket made by Powerlet (I think it is made by Warm -N - Safe) and it has wiring that you can change to allow the gloves to be wired either way. :clapping:
