Back on 6/19 I put on my new HeliBars. Come to find out, my Thottlemiester's wouldn't fit, so I ordered the "Manic Salamander" barend weights. They were supposed to be heavier than the TM's and are. I just put the weights on today and man do they work! Even better than the TM's! A lot cheaper too! lol Fortunately I can use the TM's on my FJR now. The combo of HeliBars and MS weights are awesome!

Is it just the angle of the picture, or are your brake and clutch levers at different angles relative to the handlebars?

I totally agree about the Manic Salamander weights. THEY WORK! Thought the others were just more for show.

My only regret was thaat I waited so long to put Helis on my R1. I was sure they were gonna be ugly. Imagine my surprise when they weren't! Probably the best money I ever spent on that bike.

I am in the process of pushing "submit" right now for heli bars for my GSX-R1000. Although they are just 1 5/8 inches higher, and 5/8 of an inch closer everyone says that they make a HUGE difference.

$250 is a lot for bars though.

Should I press "Submit" ... Hmmm, oh the agony of a decision. :D

Go for it! Its only $$$$! :p :p :p

You won't believe how much 1 5/8 + 5/8 really is untill you try it.

Actually, the 1 5/8" is measured from the Bar end. Only the angle changes, but it is a BIG improvement for sure! Where the bar meets the tube clamp, it's the same height, just moved back 5/8". I'm very happy with mine!
