Hello FJR'ers. I've been riding BMW's for years. I purchased a Gen II in December, with 15K. (It hadn't run in 12 years) I enjoy a good winter project. At this time... it's almost done. Two observations that were apparent immediately. How easy it is to work on, and how economical the parts are! I hope to log many miles this year to see if this is the bike for me. Welcome aboard from Southshore MA. Did it come with the side bags?

Dave
Hello Dave, I'm not a Forum Guy, so please forgive the delay in answering. Yes it did come with bags, and the rear rack. I've only put a few hundred miles on it so far. I wanted to lube everything before I rode the wheels off of it. Very smooth... almost BMW smooth. I am done with the BMW price tags. The last straw was, I needed a new front tire. As it turned out I also needed wheel bearings. when I went back in to retrieve the tire, the bill was well over $500. It was always over $500 every time I was in, even when they would perform a recall, they always found something that needed attention. Sorry for the rant....

Thank you, we had more than three weeks this winter! But I know exactly what you mean. I'm an over 40 deg. guy. My mechanic laughed when I said that. He's an over 70 deg. guy.... as are so many...
