Help! From you New Englanders please...

I need the name of a reputable dealer in Vermont, New Hampshire, or mid to western Massachusetts.

I am hoping to talk to a dealer to have SW Moto Avon tires shipped to them, so they can install (mount and balance) the tires, and do an oil change about 3000 miles into my 2 week trip.

Please...if you have any recommendations (and prices), please post them. You would greatly be helping a fellow traveller.

I am planning on leaving This saturday am 9/10...

Thanks in advance for your help,

Mark/wheaton

(Note to admin: I'm not sure if this post belongs here or in Parts...move it if need be)

Mark, if you are passing thru the St. Louis area I would be glad to help you out. Ship them to me, I have a changer and balancer. Also oil and filters In Stock.. Let me know if I can help...smitty

I bought my new FJR at Ronnie's Cycle in Pittsfield, MA a few weeks ago. Last week I (already) had my 600 mile service done and they seemed good to me. It cost me about $112, which seemed pretty fair. I think I even saw a new set of Avons sitting on the floor there during one of my visits. Good luck!

Hey Smitty,

Thanks for the offer...however I am in the Chicago suburbs and won't be heading down that way for this trip.

I did see your missouri ride postings and would definitely look you up when I head down there, arkansas, or oklahoma. You definitely have the set up!

Thanks jm for your response.

Thought there would be more responses from the new englanders, but maybe they are busy -labor day and all, or gearing up for eom.

I've had Dan Turco & Sons in Clarendon, VT (near Rutland) service my FJR and they seem far and have treated me well. If they can't help you I know an independand shop who treat me even BETTER than Turco's. They are Pro Cycle in Clarendon, VT. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tom for the info.

I'm all set up with Joe Turco, to install some SW Moto Tires and give an oil change on 9/17/05

Thanks again!

Glad to be of service Wheaton. I only live 5 minutes from Turco's so if you need something just ask Joe for my phone number and I can come and get you.

+1 on Pro-Cycle in Claredon (just south of Rutland and across Rt 7 from Dan Turco). Nice guys and experienced mechanics but unfortunately no real price breaks from your standard dealer rates.

I beg to differ. Pro Cycle cut me a good deal on tires last year for my PR's I put on the FJR. Only about $35 more than SWMoto! Of course, I've done business with them for quite a while so maybe that helped.
