HelpDesk and Inventory Program

I am looking for a help desk and inventory tracking program. I need it to run on Linux and be open source. I also want to track software licensing.

I have 600 plus users.

Do any of the IT gurus around here have any ideas?

Have you searched Sourceforge?

I don't know that you'll get one package to do all of this... Maybe that's not what you're after.

Hardware and Software inventory? Open-Audit - clients for windows and cron-job (scripts) for linux (most flavors)

My current employer is using RT (Request Tracker) for work-order management. LINKY The nice part to it is the ability to just email new requests (without tying up a person on the phone).

Thanks TC. We will check those out. We are looking at lots of programs and trying to narrow down to some specific programs. I really appreciate when people give specifics like Request Tracker. I am going to check it out right now.

We use Open-Audit and it's pretty good for free.

We also use RT (https://bestpractical.com/rt/) and have for years.

Highly recommend.
