Sept. '03, Front Royal VA. Approx 20-some-odd riders. I'm on the left in the first pic, in the back in the second. Notice the dress code in the first pic......not a gear wearing one in the bunch! My how times have changed so quickly. I believe I'm the only one in this group (first pic) that still rides an FJR. ....suckers.

I forgot the most important one. The last long ride I got to take with my best friend George Rafferty (aka canoeboy).

He passed away a few months after this pic was taken from a virus. (cepsis)

I'm on the left, he's second from left.

Joe Rocket Phoenix. Funny...it DOES look like a Members only jacket!! I must be the last member. Actually, it's the identical jacket like VaPaul is wearing, second from right.

And don't worry. I'll be toasting to George all night. After all, he's the one who pushed me into sport touring.

Yes, Paul is a really cool guy. I kept in touch with him for awhile... until I told him that the bike he sold me was a ticker. Nahhh, just joking. I listened for it when I bought. I didn't hear it until after I had it home for a couple of weeks.

That is my '05 EOM shirt. There is actually a picture on the front of my shirt. That is how crappy the '05 printing was.

That would be him. He wanted a track bike and couldn't keep 2 bikes. Something about food on the table for the kids. He was sad to let the FJR go.

Yup, and when I bought the FJR from him he had that track bike in the garage.

Did I mention... MY BIKE IS DONE, MY BIKE IS DONE!!!! Ticker fix complete. I pick her up from the dealer tonight. So, I won't need to ride Extremarine's HD. I am so thankful!
