Just confirms to me to slow down when coming into intersections (just in case).... Not worth it to blow through. A very sobering video.

Horrible driving, horrible riding, horrible deaths. I have to agree with Old Michael, a little heads-up would not have hurt. There does not seem to be much thought given to training, laws or proper gear. I think I will cross Russia off my list of places I need to visit.

Fascinating, but very disturbing at the same time. I'm sure most of those crashes were fatalities?

I wonder who compiled the video, no info on YouTube. Most of the comments are in Eastern European (Russian, I guess?), the ones in English want to know who was on the soundtrack!!

It's a scary world we live in.

Al.

Edit: #Enn (OP) I know you live on the north coast, but you must ride in Russia, is it that bad?
Well, I do not ride bike in Russia (I live in Estonia), far too dangerous as you also see in the video. But I can confirm the the traffic is absolutely crazy even if you drive a car. The regular speed in Moscow, for example, is 100-120 km/h, although the legal limit is 60, and nobody cares for lanes, pedestrians and bikers. And people do not wear the safety belts either so usually any accident ends up with sever injuries

Nothing but wreckless driving on both sides, cagers and MC riders.

If I had any intention of riding in Russia I don't now.
