What a day!!! Awesome ride and it was great to meet you guys. I pulled in right at 9PM with 780 miles and as a bonus only had 5 miles of light drizzle!

Thanks again for letting me tag along. Perhaps the weather will hold out and we can sneak in another trip this "winter".

Tom the only reason I'm not grey is because my hair just gives up and leaves rather than succumb to color change.

Just so everyone knows;

The tall guy, with the gray hair, on the left of that picture is not me.

I'm a lot younger and thinner, and I have more hair.

I got home at 4:30. Jumped off the bike and into the car. Made the hockey game just before "Puck Drop" We lost to the first place team 5 to 3, but we had them on the ropes for a while. I had no goals, no assists, and a minus three. I think it's time, for me, to hang-em-up.

The riding, the friends, and the weather, were all great today. There is nothing better then a good game of "Harley leap Frog".

Did you leap from the right side or the left side?

We encountered several groups of Harleys out cruisin'. One group we encountered had a guy at the back of the pack on a low-rider with apes and mandatory loud pipes, that invited Denny and Joe to pass. He dropped his left hand low and rode on the very edge of the road while motioning for them to pass. This was in a narrow twisting section of road with very short sight-lines and pretty good elevation changes. I thought he was going to crash off the right side of the road.

Anyway, Denny and Joe ended up in the pack, unable to pass the other cruisers, while the shotgun rider crowded their *** from behind. I declined the invite to join the parade and hung far back with Brandon, cause I was not getting in the middle of that mess. Finally the road opened up a bit and Gerry and Joe got ahead, and I made a full throttle pass of the group. Shortly after clearing the cruisers we came to an abrupt "roller coaster" peak where I fully left the ground and heard and felt the engine rev as the wheels took flight.

I tell ya, those flat and boring roads in Ohio are a hoot, and I howed watching a couple FJRs join a Hardley parade.

What wasn't funny was when they passed a big white dually truck. The driver was not inclined to be slower than anyone else on the road, and he chased them down and finally Joe let him pass. Scary stuff! He was chasing Denny, and finally went straight at an intersection where we went left. That guy was a nut-case and your worst nightmare. He was all over the road in his effort to keep up with and pass the bikes.

Man, I missed out. I'll definitely make the annual ride next year. And I'll trade bikes with Joe. This global warming is great even though the whole idea is a bunch of ********.

Tom, it was such a nice warm day. You should've stopped by my house for a beer and a bowl of ice cream.
Now that's a combination I hadn't though of. I'll have to get to know where you're at so I can stop by. This trip was a straight shot out US 22 and the Parkway. I lucked out on the return that the construction closure ended early, so easy trip home.
