Just want to say thank you for posting the link

to the Smoothness Map. Took the bike out today

for the second time about three hours and it has

never run this good. I have an '05, has anyone

else gotten the same results?

.

No.. But then again they'll never baa be as smooth as a ride on one of these..

Wallie spent the time on the dyno. I just keep a copy of the file he sent me on my site for folks who need it.

I put it on my '03 when I first got the bike in summer '07. Transformed it from a touchy ***** to a silky smooth caress.

Once in a while I switch to a zero map just to see, and it doesn't take long to put it back!

I have an '05 also and added the PCIII with Smoothness map to help with the low speed throttle sensitivity. After the install it was like a different bike. Linear throttle, no jerkiness at low speeds. Another benefit on mine is that it SEEMS to run a touch cooler on the temp gauge. The temps stays on two bars far longer that it did before. YMMV

Wally's map is a good one. But believe it or not you can do even better. A custom map done on a dyno made specifically for your bike can be better (if you have a really sharp tuner), or you can tweak the wally map for any little problems that remain. It is really pretty simple if you've even done any engine tuning on carburetor bikes in the past.
