First sunny day that I could check out my new area and here's the route I took. Sorry there aren't more pic's, but I gave my pocket camera to the daughter and all I have it the big one that has to go in the side case for every shot.

Small previev of WFO!

Pretty much had the road all to myself!

Could have not asked for a better day. I tried to stop on the other side of the bend here only to find that the turn out was 1-2 inches of mud and the FJR don't handle so well!!! All I could think was keep her moving! Damn near dumped her a coupla times!

This was after the mud bog. Not to much left, but I kept it slow for a few miles.....

Great Ride, just under 200 miles and around 5 hours. Can't wait to head up to Lassen.....

36 is a great road. However I almost lost it once on it, watch out for the low sun in the summer , I was flying blind when the sun gets low. WFO is in a great area to ride, I am looking forward to it.

Great pictures, though I wish they were a bit bigger. Seems like a very fun day, I can't wait to get up to that area this year!

BTDT on 36 (Redding to Arcata) and 299 (Arcata to Redding). Missed Hwy 3. There is a shoe tree also on 395, between Susanville, Ca and Reno, NV.

Lassen is closed in the winter... :dribble:

Cool stuff thanks for sharing.

I'll work on the photo size. Even if they were full sized, they would never do justice to the actual ride. I am really blessed that things worked out for me that I can live up here.

SPU, I'm down to Tucson next weekend, after that, come on down.

I know that Lassen is closed for the winter, and I agree :dribble: :dribble: :dribble: :dribble: and I have yet to get east of Deschutes road!

Very nice, gregory; Thank You! 36 to 3 to 299 is a real beauty. My brother-in-law Jeff Straw worked at the lumber mill in Arcata, I've ridden this route over 20 times.

Nice pictures, a little different than AZ.

Did you sell the house? I notice the sigh is gone.

I hope you did for your sake. Good luck.
