Anyone out there using the handgrip and lever covers that cover same after attachment to handlebars? Used to be called hippo hands among other names. Some were like Naugahide, others like raingear fabric.

Have them on my snowmobile and have a set in the bags for the FJR. Works good on the bike up to 70mph, where the wind causes them to lean against the brake lever enough to cause the brake light to come on at times. Nice part is they're about 30 dollars a set from at the Artic cat dealer, go on and off in about a minute, and not as fugly as those Suzuki hand guards.

Yes. I have a pair made by Watershed. They are waterproof GoreTex with a nylon liner, Scotchlite trim and waterproof zippers. You can see pics here: https://www.bestrestproducts.com/c-151-wate...motormitts.aspx

altough I purchased mine through a different representative. These are stiff enough that there is no issue with the brake light coming on.

I like them if I'm going out of town in colder weather (under say 40f). Not worth it around town till it gets in the single digits, but really takes the edge off on the road. Easy to put on & take off as needed. Cheep. Not a fashion statement, but they work.

I use these and they have a spine that goes around the front as well as being fairly stiff. You do have to be careful on how you mount them or they will press on the brake/clutch as well as hitting the kill switch. I can ride when it is below freezing now without any heated gear, this is nice considering the bike is my main method of transportation.
