I want my B's to get back to their winning ways but I really want The Kid to get his ring, soon and often. Hockey needs a hero and from what I have seen of him hockey could do a lot worse that Sidney Crosby.

It is the greatest game... I have such a time convincing these southerners of that. Everytime I get one to a game they are converted. It's just getting them there.... :clapping:

I've been to a professional hockey game. Didn't change my mind. Stupid game.

Better than basketball, though.

Only stupid until you lace 'em up, grab a stick and start mucking around with some buddies. That's when the speed of the players and the puck sinks in and you realize how good those guys are.......skating, shooting and hitting full out! Have pity on my Canucks and let us win a few this year!

FYI they are both Canadian inventions. And Like FJRwanabe says ya gotta actually try the game to reeeeeeaally appriciate the game. I play both defence and goalie although not at the same time (?) I love this game!!!!!!

Still miss my Oilers even after being away for almost 20 years. We were lucky enough to live in Edmonton and see most home games during the rise of The Great One, Mr Gretsky, and his incredible team mates, Kurri, Messier, Coffey, Anderson, etc, etc. But like all dynasties, they too, are struggling. My favorite spectator sport by a mile! (also played as a kid right thru college which helps)
