Holeshot full exhaust system

I'm looking at a used FJR with a Holeshot full exhaust system?

Anyone have any experience with this exhaust system?

I have a Holeshot fullsystem and powercommander on my 06. It is LOUD at anything over 20% throttle. But, I can pull the bike out of the garage without waking the neighbors if I'm really careful. I do tend to embarrass sportbikers at red lights :yahoo:

If you get the bike and want to quiet it down, Dale of Holeshot has just come out with a Screwed in Insert called a DB Killer for $31 that helps alot. I put one on the FZ1 and it is wonderful. If you then want the Loudness, just unscrew it in a matter of seconds.

Thanks for your input. I've found a new FJR in a small town about 100 miles from here. I'm going to pick it up Saturday morning. I'm sure that I'll be replacing the stock exhaust system with an after market system soon. From the search keithaba gave me it looks like the Holeshot header with the stock canisters it the way to go. Would most of you agree with that?

The holeshot header will get rid of those pesky catalytic convertors. You'll need a powercommander to adjust for the additional flow and lack of O2 sensor. The stock cans will mount up and tame the sound a bit but I'm really happy with the full system.

I didn't get the '07. I ended up with a new '08 and still would like to change the exhaust. Enough people have commented that the Holeshot is loud that I'm a little worried. Is there any dyno info showing that the inserts don't effect the performance? Guess I need to call the Holeshot folks next week.

Question...will the addition of the Holeshot header, mufflers, and PCIII, void any warranty parameters??? (on a new 08)
