If you don't mind getting the new feejer dirty, find a dirt lot and play with the ABS. It engages much earlier due to lower friction coefficients and makes it fun. I do it daily. It keeps the spool piece inside the ABS magic box free and helps keep me tuned to the sensation of clack-clack-clack as the ABS pulses.

and for true fun, once you get comfortable, master the art of steering the bike while the ABS is engaging. It's truly a learned skill for us old timers and one that can save your life.

most of the roads I do are 80-9o mph on the curves, do 65-70 on Dead Mans curve before the border check on 185. HRZ is one cool dude,
he needs to rent some gerbils for the SWFOG.
I am a cool dude when I'm not being an asshole, but you have me confused with Don on that second part. Unless, you think because I'm Mexican, I have some kind of hookup you desperately need. Now that I think about it, I can't help you with that either. Go look under some Mesquite bushes by your house. Field mice should be easy to find.

I just got back from Texas. What's with all the goats? I thought it was the land of the cattle ranch, and I did see a lot of cattle, but I was surprised at how many goats I saw.

I do this ^^^ (my driveway is dirt) for fear of the ABS stuff seizing from lack of use. Probably not really needed as much as i do it.. but hey.. i like to know its all workin', and I like my reflexes ready to work in that manner as well.

Well...it was bound to happen. I nearly had a two-wheel Bambi drill this morning on my commute to work. That would have fouled up my whole day. For some reason mommy deer(est) was allowing Bambi to play in the road at 3:45 am. WTFrick! Bambi should have been laying in a field of tall grass at that time, hidden from predators or sumpin'. Lucky for me that my bike's high beams can burn a hole through metal at 200 yards! So when I rounded the corner, seeing this potential road kill was easy and I didn't have to pull a "quickie" although I did drop from 55 to about 30 with plenty of run out left. Oh yeah, and the horn works really well too!

I remembered something the MSF instructor told us in a training course, "If it's not big enough to grill...run it over".

This wasn't the case.
