I'll echo the other compliments to the orgainizers... WFO-5 was a blast. It was just as much fun meeting everybody and putting names with faces, as was experiencing the roads in the area. The big dog ride got spanked, SS1K virgins popped their cherrys, and the man-boob contest was... well, it just was. You had to be there... shame on anyone who didn't come because of "weather" :blink: ...

When does registration for next year start? :yahoo:

Man whata killer time. Have to chime in my thanks to WC and all his staff. Everyone one was very cool, and seeing all the FJRs was too cool. Wifey and I saw soooo many awesome roads it has taken a couple days to digest. Started with June Lake on Wed.. Thursday we rode through Yosimite on 120. We saw 3 bucks in velvet in a little meadow next to the road. Then we took Wards Ferry rd. SHIT that was tight, only 1 lane wide in spots, and at most 1 1/2 lane wide the rest of the way. After Sonora we rode Parrotts Ferry rd to hwy 4 WOW that is some beautiful country. The only part that sucked was 395 through Carson City trying to get to the Hilton (FJR MECA). Friday's big ride was to the pigly wigly (2.2 miles). Couldn't pay $3 for water. The pool was nice. Saturday was an early morning ride around Tahoe. Cool temps, no traffic, and views for a lifetime. We were going to raft out of Tahoe City, but I talked wifey into more riding instead (she is quite a trooper). So after some eats we headed up 89 to 49 to 20 to 80 and back to the Hilton. While on 49 a LEO pulled out behind me, and the cage in front of me took the sign litteraly that said curve 25mph so I pulled out at the first chance. I figured the LEO had a donut waiting somewhere. Sunday's late start was perfect since we did the last 110 mi. into Vegas with no sun. I did have to detour to Monitor pass on the way home for one more helping of twisties.

So when can we register for WFO6? We are ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of the WFO for putting on GREAT event. But, it did make me a bit sad to not seeing some of the staff getting some seat time. I'd like to help out with next years event, but some riding would also be nice.

My ride home was interesting. I rode with pair from Delaware (Gary and Larry ... I know that's wrong, but I just can't remember names) to Auburn. They headed west on 80 and I intended to head south on 49. Well I got a huge case of cranius rectus and got hopelessly lost. I don't know that section of 49 and as it turned out I wasn't on 49 anyway. But how was I to know that without a glass navel. Great road and the traffic wasn't all that bad. The traffic got lighter and lighter .... did I say great road. Hmmm, I thought there were more towns? Nice .... much cooler than I expected. These sure don't look like the right kind of trees for 49. WTF ... the double yellow disappeared and it's only one lane. Duh ... YOU ARE LOST DUDE. Pull your head out of your a......

180 and back to last civilization (20 miles). Scuz me sir, how do I get to Stockton from here. First you have to go to another 20 miles to Auburn....

Maybe it's time for a GPS.

I'm glad I didn't take the easterners with me.
