I'm sure Honda will give it such things as linked brakes and no way to turn off the ABS or traction control. Motorcycle manufacturers keep adding unnecessary features that take away from the pure pleasure of riding a motorcycle. I'm not a luddite, I really appreciate things like electronic ignitions but I can live without the things that dumb down the riding experience.

I'm not holding my breath. Honda's offerings have been so much motorcycle tapioca for at least 10 years that I have stopped caring. It might start with some genuine ADV aspirations, but if it makes it to market think more VFR1200 than KTM adventure. And it'll weigh 600 pounds.

If anyone can pull it off Honda can, just depends if the bean counters will let it get built.

Time will tell...

I wouldn't disagree that honda can, but I'd be surprised if Honda does. They haven't moved the meter in the motorcycle innovation department in a generation. Capable, reliable, well-finished, sure. But painfully bland. Pick a landmark bike from any of the other makers and show me what Honda has done to counter it. GS? Nope. FJR? Nope. Triumph 675? Heck no. They've not been competitive in racing since CE2 and Nicky won Superbike titles on the RC-51. None of them are bad bikes, just uninspired and uninspiring.

I agree with everything you're saying except for racing. Have you forgotten that Marquez kid?

Well, ya got me there. I suppose that I was thinking production racing; I may be lost in space on MX as well.
