Coming in the spring of 2006, the new Honda Goldwing will be fitted with a front airbag to reduce the speed of which the rider is thrown from the bike.

Excellent idea. One big red button that you can smack to eject you straight up, and then float down in the seat which is attached to the parachute.

Funny ****.

The advanced model has an inflatable mattress to soften the fall even farther. Now you can ride your 157 mph rocket in shorts, no shirt, and barefooted and never be hurt!

Technology truly is wonderful!

TOKYO (AP) - Honda Motor Co. has developed airbags for motorcycles that the Japanese automaker says is the world's first for production motorcycles.

The airbag, which inflates after sensors detect an oncoming crash, will be available on the new Gold Wing motorcycle that will go on sale in spring 2006 in the United States, Honda said Thursday.

Tokyo-based Honda said the airbags will reduce injuries in head-on collisions.

The airbag opens in front of the riders and reduces the speed at which they get thrown off the motorcycle, lessening injuries when they hit the road or another vehicle, it said.

I meant "********" in a totally nice way...  ********.

Well which is it; numbnuts or ********? No on the Midol, eh? Pamprin then? :****:

They have this-

A simple yet ingenious ratcheting windshield-adjustment system provides six settings over nearly 4 inches of travel. Operated manually, the mechanism eliminates the weight and complexity of electric motors.
Then this-

Motorized headlight aiming system is operated by a dial switch located on the left fairing panel and provides 2.5 degrees of adjustment from level.
And this-

Beautiful No-Crax® multi-box-section aluminum dual-spar frame and Pro Arm® single-side cast aluminum swingarm set new class standards for handling.

It looks great but not enough of a change for a trade in. Most of the new options don't appeal to me here is sunny Florida.
