When I purchased my bike last May I paid for (suckered for?) the maintenance program. The cost is a few hundred bucks and the idea is that when you turn your bike in for service, it will be ready the next day. :glare: Also included: you never pay for maintenance as long as you service your bike when it's time. Basically you pay up front, but you do save a few hundred bucks in the long run. The deal is for those of us not mechanically inclined, or just plain lazy (I fall into both categories).

Anyhoo, to make a short story long; the dealer I take my bike to called me to say my bike was involved in a minor accident! :angry2: News that makes your blood curdle. I asked what happened and they stated that in the process of moving the bike in and out of the storage area the bike was leaned up or was rubbed up against a wall, another bike, something. Needless to say the saddlebag incurred some scratches.

Now I'm a freak when it comes to taking care of my toys. The scratch, as I later saw, was minor, only noticeable when viewed up close. Had the shop not of called, I probably wouldn't have noticed the scratches till I was cleaning the bike.

To end this story, the shop called when the incident happened and said they ordered me a new side bag, free of charge of course.

This admitting to guilt might happen more than not, however, that is not always the case. I was truly impressed with their honesty. That carries a lot of weight with me. The company is Big #1 Motorsports, Birmingham, Al.

Just wanted to share my story...

I'm looking for an '06 Blue left bag. If thats the one that got scratched I'll buy it from the dealer or you.

my Yamaha dealer was doing some carb work on my 2000 suzuki and somehow one of the mechanics dropped my gas tank. the dealer took the tank and had a body shop repair the dent and repaint the whole tank. needless to say they got my business when i bought my FJR
